Production Supervisor - (Plant 2) 3rd Shift (M-F 11PM - 7:30AM)

SAFETY:
1) Understand and follow all safety procedures
a) Current on all safety trainings
b) Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
2) Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
3) Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures
4) Complete General Plan Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
KEY TASKS:
1) A hands-on, working Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations of the plant delivering key performance indicators (safety, quality, production and cost).
2) Maintain documentation on employee performance and accountability to drive performance.
3) Ensure daily and consistent communications and shift meetings.
4) Ensure a safe working environment is established and maintained.
5) Enforce good housekeeping standards.
6) Provide direction to team regarding duties and goals.
7) Ensure paperwork is completed timely and accurately.
8) Perform work assigned by Production Manager to ensure successful operation.
9) Monitors equipment operation to ensure efficiency, safe operation, and strict cleanliness requirements.
10) Supervise, lead, coach, train and develop their team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Experience working in a control room monitoring all process equipment.
2) Be a team player; work well with others.
3) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and written procedures.
4) Be productive and stay on task with little or no supervision.
5) Candidate must have strong verb and written communication skills and be mechanically inclined.
6) Ability to develop leadership & management skills to direct daily workforce activities.
7) Qualified candidates must have a minimum of five-year practical experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years as a production supervisor.
8) Ability to plan, schedule, and perform various technical and administrative functions; develop alternative solutions to problems; sound decision-making
9) Stable work history required.
10) Must be willing to work flexible hours.
11) Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but applicants that meet all other requirements will be considered
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Must be able to lift at least 30lbs and to push-pull up to 45lbs.
2) Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
3) Must be able to go up and down steps and ladders multiple times a day.
4) Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
5) Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
