Job Summary

Physicians and Dentists provide clinical services to patients consistent with their training and expertise. The highest priority in the WellStar Health System is patient care.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Clinical Practice of Medicine, Surgery, or Dentistry, including:
• The care of patients in outpatient or inpatient settings or both.
• The documentation of clinical care.
• The documentation and tasks necessary for billing and administrative functions.
• Continuing Medical Education required to maintain licensure and Board Certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all WellStar policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Minimum Education Requirements

MD, DO, DMD, or DDS degree. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Georgia. Must have completed residency training in their specialty and be certified or eligible for certification by their respective specialty board.

Licenses and Certifications

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

• Medical Doctor (MD) or equivalent.

Experience

Previous practice experience in a residency training program is required. Prior practice experience in lieu of residency training is preferred.

Skills

Applicants should possess skills appropriate to their specialty and demonstrate proof of competency for clinical skills applied for.
