CNA Hospice Aide

As a key member of the Interdisciplinary Group Team, you will work closely with a supervising Registered Nurse and play an essential role in supporting patients during a meaningful stage of life.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide personal care based on assigned patient needs
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with patients and families
  • Ensure patient safety and proper use of equipment
  • Assist with bathing, grooming, oral care, and linen changes
  • Help with dressing, feeding, transfers, ambulation, and exercises
  • Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping as needed
  • Take and record vital signs
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition
  • Support caregivers and offer respite when appropriate
  • Maintain clean, orderly patient environments
  • Follow documentation standards and participate in quality improvement activities
  • Uphold dignity and respect in every interaction

Requirements

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Minimum 75 hours of CNA training

Preferred: One year of experience in hospice, home health, or medical/surgical care

Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Background check upon hire and annually

Current CPR certification

Understanding of hospice philosophy

Ability to work independently

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Patience, tact, and professionalism

Comfort working with end-of-life care

Calm, compassionate presence in patient homes
