Hourly Rate: $19.00
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Educational Instructor position provides individualized and program specific instruction to participants including GED training and remedial services with a primary emphasis on excellence in classroom instruction.
- Responsible for prescribing standardized lesson based upon individual participant needs and will deliver instruction in an environment conducive to the learning experience, including supervision of participants and assessment of participant skill levels in order to assist them with reaching the goals established in their ISS and IEP.
- Deliver face to face, contextualized, and interactive instruction based upon individual participants identified Career Pathway in accordance with the program model.
- Responsible for filing and maintaining thorough, accurate participant records, case management sessions and maintains case note; perform routine follow-up with participants as it relates to education and employment.
- Administers orientation sessions and provides participants with the necessary program information.
- The instructor is expected to be familiar with the Local and Regional Plans and will shape instruction to meet the demands of individual student needs as well as local and regional workforce strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred), from an accredited College or University or equivalent years of experience. Global Career Development Facilitator certification preferred.
- Teaching certification and one year of work experience in business or Instructor/Teacher preferred; experience working with the at-risk population strongly preferred.
- Ability to learn and utilize various instructional technology software programs and equipment.
- Must have appropriate and valid state driver’s license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Travel between offices in Americus and Cordele.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.
