Industrial Mechanical Project Estimator
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Industrial Mechanical Project Estimator to join our dynamic team in Covington, GA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the planning and execution of mechanical projects, ensuring that our estimates are accurate and competitive. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and supplier options.
- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Maintain organized records of estimates and project documentation.
- Participate in project meetings to provide insights on cost implications and budgeting.
- Continuously seek ways to improve estimating processes and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred not required.
- Proven experience as a project estimator in the industrial mechanical sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
