What You'll DoTalent Managers act as holistic owners of the Consulting Team employment experience with a close focus on deployment and professional development of our consulting staff. You will drive overall business objectives (e.g., team balance and staff utilization) and identify patterns across your roster to develop staffing, development, and career navigation strategies. You will also operate as a member of the broader consulting talent community in North America.
- Deploy a roster of consulting resources, ensuring each resource receives the right projects to support their development and professional goals; communicate opportunities to the roster and describe the roster’s skills and experience for staffing decisions
- Optimize team deployment design in line with the overall project pipeline, balancing business priorities with project and staff needs; partner with project team leadership to evaluate options and assess impact on economics and team balance
- Support the Career Development Committee (CDC) by discussing individual staff deployment, performance, and trajectory; surface themes, calibrate outcomes across the cohort, and implement consistent policies and procedures aligned with regional and global guidelines on promotion timing, criteria, and termination
- Build strong relationships with roster members to understand their needs and constraints; advise on staffing and mobility choices, communicate decisions and rationale, and connect them with relevant learning and development opportunities
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Teaming@BCG, Career Services, Finance, and other functions as needed
- Monitor morale, retention, and affiliation; analyze trends and own projects related to office morale, culture, and feedback
- Ensure fair access to opportunities; partner with diversity networks and mentors to drive inclusion and proactive retention based on individual needs
- Leverage digital tools and influence at the local level to drive adoption and consistency
- Coordinate inputs and outputs with a diverse group of stakeholders across local, system, regional, and global staffing structures to ensure day-to-day outcomes align with policies
- Prior experience at a consulting firm, in an HR, Consulting, Talent, or Finance role is preferred
- 5+ years’ total work experience
- Advanced Degree (Master’s, etc.) preferred but not required
- Thrives in a fast-paced, global, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment, aligned with BCG's values and culture
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate confidently and articulately with all organizational levels inside and outside BCG, building positive relationships, influencing others while maintaining flexibility
- Maturity, good judgment, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
- Comfortable resolving conflicts, delivering difficult messages, and addressing people-related issues
- Collaborative team player who uses slide writing, organizational, analytical, and project management skills to drive innovative solutions and incremental improvements
- Attention to detail while understanding the big picture; ability to consider the ramifications of decisions on various constituencies

In this role, you will partner with the Southeast Consulting Team Talent Director and Staffing team, along with the Atlanta office Business Management Senior Director, to support the consulting cohorts and focus on the needs of the firm, the cohort, and individuals.

We operate on a hybrid model, with the expectation that team members will be in the office 3 to 5 days per week. This role is designed for those who thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is not intended for remote or virtual work.
Compensation InformationTotal compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market-leading benefits package described below.
The base salary range for this role is $102,900–$127,100 (USD). This is an estimated range; specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.
In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 16% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
