The nature of the job strictly demands in-person attendance and hands-on delivery, therefore, it is not a remote position. Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure safe transportation and delivery of preloaded goods principally across NC, SC, FL, AL, TN, and GA.
• Manage routes and schedules efficiently to maximize home time while meeting delivery deadlines.
• Check and manage vehicle safety before and after each trip, and perform minor repairs if necessary.
• Accurately complete logs, reports, and other paperwork as required.
• Maintain communication with the central dispatch team on travel times, delays, and delivery specifications.
• Occasionally handle specialized cargo like coils, securing and tarping loads safely as needed—though less than 5% of loads typically require tarping.
• Support multiple-stop trips effectively, sometimes handling up to five stops per journey.
• Adapt to staying out overnight on some loads, balancing on-road duties with requisite off-time.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum age requirement: 22 years.
• Required to have a clean driving record: minimum 5 years since any DUI.
• Acceptance of felons on a case-by-case basis, ensuring compliance with transportation laws and regulations.
• Must not have failed any drug screening tests, adhering to strict no-drug policy.
• Necessary experience: at least 12 months of Over-The-Road (OTR) experience with a minimum of 6 months specific to flatbed operations.
• Home time policy ensures drivers are home on some nights, enhancing work-life balance.
• Compensation structured at $275 per day, commensurate with industry standards.
• Flexibility to engage in trips that may require overnight stays away from home.
