Field Superintendent (Flooring/Tile)

Pay: $78,000 annually
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Field Superintendent for a commercial flooring and tile company.This role is responsible for overseeing daily jobsite operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company quality standards. The position requires frequent travel and close coordination with field teams, subcontractors, and project leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily field operations for specialty trade work
- Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and correctly
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate with other trades to avoid delays
- Ensure materials, equipment, and tools are available and used efficiently
- Enforce safety standards and address any unsafe conditions immediately
- Monitor quality of work to meet company and client expectations
- Track and report daily progress, labor hours, and jobsite updates
- Communicate regularly with the Director of Field Operations on project status
- Resolve field issues such as scope changes, delays, or material shortages
- Serve as the main point of contact between field teams, clients, and subcontractors
- Support training and development of field employees and apprentices
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Assist with punch list completion and provide hands-on support when needed
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License and ability to comply with company vehicle use policies
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in commercial flooring and tile work required
- Industry certifications are preferred (CTI, ACT, etc.)
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and jobsite coordination
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Solid organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to be on-call or work after hours when needed
- Knowledge of tools, materials, and methods specific to the trade
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Comfortable leading, training, and mentoring field teams
- Strong focus on safety and hazard recognition
- A pre-employment Drug Screening is required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around job sites for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands, reaching, climbing, and balancing
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Strong visual ability, including near and far vision, color recognition, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and the ability to shift focus as needed
- Ability to work in varying weather and jobsite conditions
- May require evening, weekend, or extended hours
