Ground Operator

As a Ground Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting the tree care crew, ensuring that operations on the ground run smoothly and efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in arboriculture and equipment operation while working alongside experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and skid steers safely and efficiently.
- Assist tree climbers by controlling lowering ropes and supplying necessary tools.
- Learn and apply arborist knots for tying and untying as needed.
- Remove tree limbs and debris from the worksite to the chipper and trailer.
- Help manage pedestrian, road, and sidewalk traffic to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain an organized and safe jobsite at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as required.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other crew members.
- Follow all company safety policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in tree care operations, with references preferred.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
- Physical fitness to perform job duties effectively.
