WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join our retail sales team. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new opportunities within existing accounts and attracting new customers. You will craft sales strategies for vertical industries, manage stakeholder relationships, and lead RFP responses. Using tools like Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, and LinkedIn, you will identify and pursue leads while collaborating across departments to deliver a unified customer experience.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Account Manager’s primary responsibility is to increase sales and revenue through building new opportunities from existing accounts and new customers including:
- Develop and maintain target customer lists that align with SageNet’s capabilities, industry focus, and value proposition.
- Develop sales strategies to penetrate assigned vertical industries.
- Achieve departmental sales goals and accurately forecast future opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new customer opportunities and uncover growth within assigned accounts. Leverage existing customers and professional networks to identify new opportunities.
- Generate new business through RFPs, conferences, tradeshows, inbound calls, emails, referrals, social media, and networking.
- Develop and manage relationships with all relevant stakeholders at each prospect and assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with key decision-makers to identify opportunities and develop ideas that deliver sales results.
- Uncover and understand prospects/accounts needs.
- Work cooperatively with Sales Engineering to develop value-added solutions and deliverables for customer pursuits.
- Work cooperatively with Sales Leadership and Marketing to ensure correct messaging for customer pursuits.
- Develop compelling Value Propositions based on ROI analyses and cost/benefit analyses.
- Collaborate with all company departments to deliver a unified customer experience during the entire sales lifecycle process.
- Lead RFP responses by understanding and articulating proposed solutions, executive summaries, and coordinating Proposal Response Teams. Responsible for final RFP submission.
- Create opportunities and maintain all client data within Salesforce, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Lead by example through active participation in use of Sales Tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and social media.
- Prepare and present proposals and bids.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients that are consistent with SageNet’s goals, objectives, and requirements.
- Participate in company-approved sales training programs.
- Utilize company-approved sales processes to produce results.

Key Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of Enterprise Sales experience
- Must bring integrity, technical knowledge, ability to solve customer problems and passion for sales outcomes
- Sales experience with some of the following is preferred; Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco, BrightSign, Navori, Wi-Fi, VOIP, Managed Network Services, Content Management Systems, and Digital Signage Solutions
- Proven track record of driving increased sales through targeted growth initiatives by creative strategic marketing approaches
- Experience with Salesforce preferred
- Experience developing and maintaining partner relationships and representing them in customer solutions
- Self-starter with excellent time management and business sales competencies
- Technical aptitude and strong knowledge of computers and the internet
- Excellent writing skills as well as strong persuasive abilities and negotiation skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for long periods of time without issues
- Ability to stand for long periods of time while giving presentations
- Extensive use of hands and fingers for typing, handling baggage, and paperwork
- Extensive use of eyes for reviewing contracts and data on a computer screen
- Ability to travel extensively, including air travel
CLASSIFICATION: Salaried/Exempt
POSITION TYPE: Full-time
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 30% – 50%, including overnight travel
