T&C Technician

Key Accountabilities

• Execute testing activities:
  • in support to one or several Projects on railway signalling systems under the direction of his / her hierarchy
  • according to the testing procedure / documentation and following Subsystem T&C Engineer a/o Leader instructions
• Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting)
• Check that the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.
• Replace defective equipment and ensure its repair in accordance with the procedures in force
• In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context
• Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety)

Performance Measurement

• Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests
• Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards
• Quality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting

Specific for Atlanta Switch Refurbishment Project

• Execute testing activities in the lab and/or field. Record test results in test sheets and log issues and create NCRs with the guidance of Engineers or the Test Leads
• To perform supervision of installation by the EI, support/execute the Electrical Installer to execute PICO (Post Installation Check-Out).
• Work alongside customer, O&M, and vendors. Support signalling equipment installation and PICO execution.
• Provide daily progress reports, updating KPIs and escalating issues to the appropriate subsystem lead.
