Local: $1,537/week
Travel: $1,862/week
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Associate II to support surgical services by ensuring proper cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment. This role is essential in maintaining patient safety and ensuring all instruments are ready for use in clinical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform decontamination, disinfection, and cleaning of general and specialty surgical instruments
Disassemble and inspect instruments to ensure complete removal of contaminants
Assemble, inspect, and package instrument trays according to established standards
Operate and troubleshoot sterilization and processing equipment
Monitor and document sterilization processes, including mechanical and chemical indicators
Maintain accurate records using instrument tracking systems
Prepare and deliver case carts based on surgical schedules
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Inspect instruments for functionality, sharpness, and integrity
Assist with inventory management, stocking, and supply distribution
Support operating room workflow by ensuring timely delivery of required instruments
Required Qualifications
CRCST Certification (Required)
1–2 years of sterile processing experience
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and instrument processing
Experience with instrument assembly and tray preparation
Familiarity with endoscope and surgical equipment reprocessing
Ability to operate automated sterilization equipment
Knowledge of infection control and safety standards
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good manual dexterity and physical stamina
Ability to lift, push, and move equipment as needed
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to follow instructions and perform basic calculations
Work Environment
Fast-paced hospital or surgical services setting
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
