Project Engineer Level 1 (Entry-Level)

Job Summary : The Level 1 Project Engineer is an entry-level position responsible for supporting engineering projects from initiation through completion. This role involves assisting in planning, coordinating, and executing technical tasks under the supervision of senior engineers or project managers. The Level 1 Project Engineer ensures that project goals are met on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Support the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to gather project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance.
• Track project milestones and deliverables using project management tools.
• Identify and report project risks and issues to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities and communications.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.

Required Skills:

• Basic understanding of engineering principles and project management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
• Bilingual a plus (English Spanish).

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Internship or co-op experience in a related engineering field is a plus.
• EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is advantageous but not required.
