Unified Middle office (UMO) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm's WM Technology Division. We are responsible for client and account demographic data of WM clients. We are developing a new resilient platform to maintain the same. What you’ll do in the role:Effectively work with the PMO, Development, Product Management, Business and Technical Operations, Systems Engineering,
Infrastructure, Networks and Architecture teams
Work with our existing technology stack (Java, C++, Linux, Unix, Open-Source Platforms, and SOA) as well as new technologies for our next generation solutions.
Develop and maintain Perl and Python scripts for various batch processes.
Performs new development, maintenance fixes and enhancements to meet business requirements.
Knowledge of database systems (Oracle, Sybase, DB2) including schema design and performance tuning.
Draft and review architectural diagrams, specifications, business requirements as well as various design documents.
Documents technical requirements, program and subsystem designs, resolutions to system problems, project task descriptions, effort estimates, and unit and integration tests.
Acquire a robust understanding of E*TRADE/ Morgan Stanley products, services, processes, and organizational structure in order to find optimal solutions.
Maintain awareness of industry trends, compliance concerns, risk control processes, and regulatory landscape.
Mentor other software developers
What you’ll bring to the role:
Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Self-motivated, highly organized, team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
5+ years experience in software development.
Experience with C, C++, Java, Python
Proven experience with relational databases (Oracle, Sybase)
