Snowflake Data Architect - USA
Join Datacolor as we help enterprises build production-grade data platforms that power analytics, AI, and operational decision-making. As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you’ll play a hands-on role designing, building, and optimizing modern data pipelines and models that support high-impact business use cases.
You’ll work closely with data architects, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, performant, and ready for scale—especially in complex enterprise and M&A environments.
Role Overview
Design and evolve cloud-native data platform and modern data ecosystem on Snowflake. This role is responsible for defining scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that enable analytics, AI, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and optimize Snowflake-based data platform to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads
Define and implement robust data models supporting enterprise use cases across sales, product, finance, and operations
Design and manage ELT/ETL pipelines using modern data tooling to ensure reliable, timely, and high-quality data delivery
Partner with data engineers, analytics teams, and application developers to enable self-service analytics and governed data access
Establish data architecture standards, best practices, and design patterns for scalability, performance, and cost optimization
Drive data governance, lineage, and quality initiatives in collaboration with security, compliance, and platform teams
Optimize Snowflake performance through warehouse design, clustering, query optimization, and workload isolation
Support integration of external and internal data sources into the enterprise data ecosystem
Contribute to roadmap planning and technical decision-making for the broader data platform strategy
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and cost optimization
Deep expertise in data architecture and data modeling (dimensional, normalized, and hybrid models)
Experience designing and building ELT/ETL pipelines , preferably with modern tools and frameworks
Practical experience with dbt for transformations, testing, and documentation
Strong understanding of cloud data platforms and modern analytics architectures
Experience implementing data governance , data quality, and metadata management frameworks
Proficiency with SQL and strong understanding of analytical query patterns
Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting analytics, BI, or AI/ML use cases at enterprise scale
Familiarity with data observability, lineage, and cataloging tools
Experience working in a SaaS or data-intensive product environment
Exposure to security and privacy requirements (e.g., role-based access, data masking)
