Job Summary:

The position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by securing the client's property, employee's and visitors. The duties of the position include controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles, patrolling & monitoring activities on the company's premises, and providing detailed reports on incidents that may have occurred during the assigned shift.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol and secure assigned premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of work rules as well as identify risks to the client.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Effectively communicate premise rules and regulations to personnel.
• Report any facility issues such as fire/safety hazards, malfunctioning doors/gates, etc.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations such as persons engaged in suspicious or criminal activity.
• Monitor personnel flow & surveillance cameras and inspect property.
• Escort discharged personnel, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Represent Apex Sentry with a professional appearance and demeanor.

​ Qualifications:

• Current/Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to work every Saturday and Sunday during the assigned shift time.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, e.g., able to stand or patrol on foot for long periods of time in all weather conditions.
• Minimum six (6) months previous security experience, law enforcement, or other related fields.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Substantial attention to detail - 100% accuracy for all paperwork/reports.
• Handwritten reports must be legible, detailed, clear, concise, and with superior grammar & spelling.
• Strong situational awareness and observational skills.
• Ability to speak clearly with authority while remaining calm and respectful in high-pressure situations.
• Submit to a State & Federal criminal background search. No felonies.
• Except for those with law enforcement credentials (MPs included), candidates must have successfully completed an unarmed or armed security guard training course for the state of Georgia and be able to submit certification of such - Required..
