Job Title: Restaurant Receiver
Job Summary:
The Restaurant Receiver is responsible for accepting, inspecting, and organizing all incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper storage. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory control and supporting smooth kitchen and operations flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and verify all deliveries against invoices and purchase orders
Inspect products for quality, freshness, and accuracy
Ensure proper handling and storage of goods (FIFO, temperature control, labeling)
Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management and vendors
Maintain organized storage areas (dry, refrigerated, and frozen)
Assist with inventory counts and tracking as needed
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of food handling and storage practices
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to ~50 lbs)
Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts if needed
Previous restaurant or warehouse experience preferred
Work Environment:
Fast-paced restaurant setting
Frequent standing, lifting, and working in varying temperatures (coolers/freezers)
