Role Specifics and Benefits
As a Respiratory Therapist on this travel assignment, you will:
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator management, airway clearance techniques, nebulation, aerosolized therapies, treatment protocols, sick‑room optimization, and ABG interpretation under physician oversight.
- Assess patient status, titrate ventilator settings, monitor alarms, adjust therapies, document care plans, and communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
- Mentor junior staff and collaborate with therapists, nurses, and physicians to ensure PBRS (proactive bedside respiratory service) standards are met, while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead patient and family education on respiratory care plans, discharge instructions, and home therapy considerations to empower recovery beyond the hospital walls.
