Payment Operations Representative

Credit Union of Georgia is growing within our Operations Department, and with that we are looking for a talented Payment Operations Representative! The Operations Representative is responsible for accurately reviewing, processing, and maintaining all aspects of eBranch products, payment and ACH processing, ATM and debit card programs, Safe Deposit Box management, and IRA administration. This individual plays a key role in supporting the deposit operations department, ensuring all transactions are handled efficiently and accurately, and maintaining complete records that reflect the credit union’s commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and monitor daily ACH and electronic payment transactions to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant member payment operations.
  • Uphold and adhere to Credit Union of Georgia brand standards, delivering the unique member journEASE experience by following the Engage, Ask, Solve, and Excite approach to provide exceptional member service every time.
  • Process and maintain eBranch accounts for all members, both consumer and business.
  • Manage all aspects of RDA and iPay, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Handle daily tasks related to ATM and Debit card programs, including reviewing daily card reports, resolving ATM network exceptions, managing travel notes, processing cards returned in the mail, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Complete exception transaction input as directed by the Operations Specialist.
  • Review and correct payroll exceptions (Cobb) as needed.
  • Process and maintain all Safe Deposit Box transactions, including rentals and surrenders.
  • Administer IRA files and transactions, including required annual tax reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Specialist to ensure all wires are verified and processed promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of other operational duties to provide support and backup when an Operations Representative is on PTO.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Required: 1-3 years of experience within a credit union and/or bank.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial institution operations.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education/Training:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • All employees must complete annual training modules including but not limited to cyber security, bank secrecy act as well as other compliance and regulatory requirements.
