A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled RN with Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience to provide exceptional patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Designation teaching hospital. This travel position is based in Macon, GA, allowing you to gain valuable experience across multiple med/surg units while working in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult inpatients across med/surg telemetry units (20-36 beds per unit)
• Manage cardiac drips including insulin, heparin, and those titrated to heart rate
• Perform tracheostomy care, chest tube management, peripheral IV starts, and glucometer testing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including CNAs, charge nurses, and resource nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float across all med/surg telemetry units based on staffing needs

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current RN licensure with minimum 2 years Med/Surg and telemetry experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (travelers must pass EKG competency exam)
• Proficiency with cardiac drips and critical care equipment
• Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing is a plus
• Able to adapt to a busy, team-oriented environment

Work Environment & Support:

• EPIC EMR system with Alaris IV pumps and Philips monitoring equipment
• Support from CNAs for routine care, unit secretaries, phlebotomy by lab technicians, PICC team assistance available
• 24/7 availability of respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists
• Scrub colors signify roles: Navy for RN, Ceil Blue for LPN
