Hurley Elder Care Law is seeking an Elder Care Coordinator to serve as an advocate and care specialist for our clients. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and a true desire to help others. They will work alongside the elder care attorneys and the rest of our professional team.

Our growing team looks for creative, empathetic, and thoughtful people to join our family-like environment. We work together while having fun! This role is in our main office at the Cobb Galleria.

Client Services

• Assesses client’s independence and ability for self-care and coordinates services with client’s caregivers and family members
• Educates, assists, and supports clients and family members regarding aging issues, care at home, cost of care, placement options, and community resources
• Educates client and family members to become advocates for the client’s right to quality health care and long-term care
• Coordinates document execution to be done in a timely manner for assigned clients

Practice-Related Services

• Supports other Hurley Elder Care Law staff members as needed
• Develops a working knowledge of all the areas of the law firm
• Communicates changes in client status as well as community resources with staff
• Engages in selective advocacy programs as appropriate and meaningful for the firm’s clients
• Develops and maintains excellent professional relations with appropriate staff members at community residential care facilities, hospitals and other professionals who may assist you in better serving your clients.
• Engages in community outreach and education (seminars, speeches, workshops) as needed.

Qualifications

· Degree in Social Work

· Current Georgia License to practice

· Ability to work independently as well as with a team

· Proficient computer skills to efficiently complete tasks using Macs, iPhones, email, word processing, Power Point, and a client-management system

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Valid GA driver’s license and proof of insurance

· Ability to drive up to 100 miles from the office to see clients

· Knowledge of modern office equipment (i.e. copier, scanner, etc.)

· Sound judgment with ability to maintain confidentiality

· High degree of accuracy with a strong attention to detail
