Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3 (traveler should be prepared for possibility of taking a 3rd patient)
• 24 rooms with average daily census of 19
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Every other weekend coverage required unless specified elsewhere
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Holiday requirements: work one major holiday if one falls during assignment, work both if two fall during assignment, work two out of three if three fall during assignment
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Unit systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
• General diagnoses include ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, Post-op complications, Cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, Liver failure, Drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT
• Special equipment experience required: Cardiac monitoring, BIS, Train of four, artic sun, FloTrac, IABP
• Skills required: Post Cardiac Surgery, CVVHD/CRRT, Post Neurosurgery management, Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Central line care, CVA/Acute Stroke management, Care of ventilated patients, High Flow Nasal Cannula, ETT and NT suctioning
• Full compliance required to start on time
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Block scheduling not guaranteed

This healthcare facility operates a 24-bed intensive care unit providing critical care services for adult and geriatric patients. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains high standards for patient care with modern equipment and specialized procedures to handle complex critical care cases.
