Ready to lead maintenance that moves a mill?
Do you thrive on improving uptime, safety, and craftsmanship? Can you turn metrics into action and a crew into a high-performing team? If yes, this role is for you.
Your Impact- Own maintenance results for your assigned shift with a relentless focus on safety, reliability, quality, housekeeping, cost, and productivity.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance so equipment runs right the first time—and stays that way.

- Operations partnership: work side-by-side with operations leaders to resolve issues impacting uptime, productivity, costs, and housekeeping.
- Data-driven prioritization: use downtime indicators and related metrics to guide maintenance planning and sequencing.
- Leadership by example: act with integrity, set consistent expectations, and build bench strength across roles.
- Invite ideas from the entire team to spark continuous improvement.
- Share business results and direction to align daily work with company goals.
- Educate and mentor so each person understands their role and grows in it.
- Apply company policies consistently and fairly.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of progressive maintenance experience (wood products manufacturing preferred).
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Associate’s or BS degree preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
- Strong communicator and coach with proven ability to develop people.
- Computer-literate with standard office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Safety-first, results-driven, servant leader with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Skilled in planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and leading change.
- Work includes sitting, standing, walking on even and uneven terrain, carrying loads, bending, climbing, and tasks at heights or in tight/confined spaces.
- Lift more than 50 pounds, sometimes above shoulder height.
- Extended hours beyond 40 per week and schedule flexibility as needed.
- PPE required: hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and appropriate arc-flash/arc-blast protection for electrical work.
- Environmental exposure to temperature extremes, wood dust, sharp objects, electricity, chemicals/lubricants, and high noise.
- Proficient with office equipment and software.
- Hands-on familiarity with manufacturing equipment to perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs and to support Craftsmen effectively.
This overview captures the primary responsibilities and expectations of the Maintenance Supervisor role and may evolve with business needs. Annual (or more frequent) performance and development reviews support ongoing growth and results.
