Atlanta Commercial Truck Sales is rebuilding and expanding — and we’re searching for a self-driven truck buyer/seller who can restore profitability, speed, and consistency to our truck acquisition and resale operation.
If you’re a deal-maker with strong market instincts and a proven track record buying and selling medium- to heavy-duty trucks, this is a rare opportunity to operate with autonomy and earn top-tier commission.
What You’ll Do (Mission of the Role):
Rebuild our truck sales division by acquiring, reconditioning, and selling medium- to heavy-duty trucks within set financial guidelines. You’ll operate with accountability, negotiate smart deals, turn inventory quickly, and build strong dealer/buyer relationships across the Southeast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase trucks below market value and resell within 45–60 days .
- Maintain 15–20% gross margin per unit.
- Work within approved capital limits ($250K–$500K ); seek approval for exceptions.
- Build consistent sourcing and resale pipelines across regional markets.
- Improve brand reputation through transparency and high presentation standards.
- Travel as needed for sourcing, inspections, and sales.
Compensation & Growth:
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 (reviewed at 90 days based on performance).
- Commission: Earn 10–20% of gross profit per unit.
- Bonuses: Awarded for quarterly turnover and capital discipline.
- Growth Path: Opportunity to lead an acquisition/sales team after demonstrating consistent profitability.
This structure heavily rewards high performers with a strong pipeline and fast deal turnaround.
Performance Timeline & Expectations:
First 30 Days:
- Audit existing inventory.
- Identify saleable assets.
- Build initial sourcing list.
Days 31–60:
- Begin active buying and selling.
- Target first 3–5 profitable transactions.
Days 61–90:
- Consistently turn inventory.
- Maintain 15–20% margin average.
- Base salary review.
Months 4–6:
- Scale inventory within capital limits.
- Meet turnover and profit benchmarks.

- Experienced in buying/selling medium- to heavy-duty trucks.
- Connected with auctions and wholesale platforms (Ritchie Bros., IronPlanet, TruckPaper, etc.).
- Entrepreneurial — operates like an owner.
- Skilled in floor plan financing, reconditioning ROI, and market cycles.
- Comfortable being measured strictly by results and profitability.
