Capital City Club - Crabapple is searching for a dedicated, self-motivated, and collaborative individual to join our Culinary Department as a Line Cook. In this full-time position, you'll enjoy an hourly rate, health, vision, life, and dental insurance, a 401(k) with a company match, complimentary hot meals, and provided uniforms. This role offers great cross-training opportunities, especially on sauté and grill stations.

What Sets Us Apart?

Our culinary schedule is unique, with the kitchen open from 7 am to 7 pm daily, except during special events. Your typical 8-hour workday will conveniently fall within this timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up your station following restaurant guidelines.
• Prepare all food items with precision and hygiene in mind.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the restaurant.
• Restock items as needed during your shift.
• Keep your station clean and organized, emphasizing safety and sanitation.
• Understand and efficiently use all equipment in your station.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in professional cooking, recipe execution, and line cooking.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• At least 1 year of scratch cooking experience.
• Strong English language and professional communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to thrive under pressure.
• Problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and organizational abilities.
• Dedication to delivering quality service and culinary expertise.
• Comfort with standing throughout the entire shift.
• Occasional exposure to environmental factors like cold, heat, and water.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 35 pounds regularly.
• Ability to understand basic cooking directions, as this is a member-facing role.
