Position Summary:

The Warehouse Receiving & Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily receiving of goods, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring the organization and cleanliness of all dry storage and cold storage areas. This role supervises a team of 3–5 warehouse associates and ensures all products are received, rotated, stored, and issued following company standards, food safety requirements, and operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving & Documentation:

• Oversee daily receiving of all inbound goods, verifying counts, quality, temperatures, and documentation.
• Ensure all products are checked in accurately against purchase orders and delivery manifests.
• Maintain proper recordkeeping, temperature logs, and any required receiving forms.
• Communicate shortages, damages, or discrepancies to Procurement, Culinary, and Management.

Inventory Management:

• Own daily, weekly, and monthly inventory processes for dry goods, produce, refrigerated, frozen, and chemical storage.
• Maintain accurate PAR levels and recommend adjustments based on business volume and usage trends.
• Ensure FIFO rotation and proper dating/labeling of all products.
• Monitor inventory variances and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Warehouse Organization & Cleanliness:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment at all times.
• Ensure dry storage, walk-ins, freezers, and chemical areas meet food safety, OSHA, and company standards.
• Oversee daily cleaning tasks, shelf organization, pallet management, and trash/recycling procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve layout, flow, and storage efficiency.

Leadership & Team Oversight:

• Supervise 3–5 warehouse associates, ensuring proper training, delegation, and performance.
• Plan daily workload and assign tasks for receiving, put-away, inventory counts, transfers, and cleaning.
• Coach employees on standard operating procedures, safety, and equipment usage.
• Maintain a positive and engaged team environment built on accountability and teamwork.

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure safe operation of pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Hold team accountable for following all safety and HACCP procedures.
• Support audits by maintaining documentation, sanitation, and product traceability.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years warehouse or receiving experience; food production or hospitality environment preferred.
• Prior experience in a lead or supervisor role strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, FIFO, par levels, and receiving processes.
• Ability to work in cold storage environments (walk-ins and freezers).
• Basic computer skills (inventory systems, Excel/Sheets, email).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand/walk for the majority of the shift.
• Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).
