PURCHASING SPECIALIST - CUSTOM COMPONENTS

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, quoting, and purchasing mainly custom-manufactured components based on engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements. This role ensures that all purchased items meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and supporting cross‐functional teams such as Engineering, Quality, and Production.
Main Responsibilities :
· Review engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and technical specifications to determine material, manufacturing processes, and supplier requirements.
· Analyzing purchase proposals generated by the MRP, setting priorities, and coordinating with suppliers to obtain order confirmations.
· Evaluating and managing change requests related to customer demand (advances, delays, cancellations).
· Monitoring and updating delivery dates in the company’s management system.
· Supporting the SQE in handling returns for non‐compliant materials.
· Negotiating prices and purchasing conditions with local and global suppliers.
Requirements:
· Strong proficiency in MS Office tools (with a focus on Excel).
· Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
· Previous experience in similar activities is preferred
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and data management capabilities.
· Experience in purchasing custom parts based on engineering drawings or technical specs.
Reporting Line : Custom Components Team Leader
Salary: Negotiable
Note: Experience in category management, supply chain management, and production planning is highly desirable.
