What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position?


Minimum of 3 years of Folder/Gluer operation, including set up, trouble shooting and adjusting the equipment within the food packaging industry. Capable of running straight line, auto-bottom, 4 and 6 corner cartons.


What are the nice-to-hae skills?

Job description


Candidates must hae experience with folding cartons within the food packaging industry



Responsibilities:
Operates Folder/Gluer Machine to deelop end-result printed packaging material in accordance with customer specifications:
Operate and adjust gluer machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation.
Prepares gluer by performing a ariety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product
by precise control of feeding, take oer and inerting of batches of blanks, setting automatic
loading and constant blank heights maintaining steady and precise feeding at all speeds making adjustments as needed to exceed customer expectation.
By performing a ariety of make ready tasks utilizing quick and easy settings for high productiity and precision operations, resoles any defects and adjustments to produce high quality product.
Oersee General technicians working on equipment.
Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.

QUALITY:
Ensure quality of jobs completed by reiewing for quality and accuracy. Makes sure jobs are complete and error free.
Ensures finished product exceeds customer expectations. Ensure all checklists are completed.
Support and communicate all ISO standards and quality objecties to the Team.

OHSE AND CLEAN :
Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OHSE and Clean policies. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe enironment.
Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, PPE and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines.
Follows all PPE procedures at all times.
Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.
Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy.
Use Company proided safety lifting equipment.
Properly stores and arranges work area to maintain cleanliness and safe enironment following all safety rules and regulations for grounding, storage, spill clean-up, etc.

Requirements:
High School diploma (or GED).
Minimum of 3 years of Folder/Gluer equipment operation within the food packaging industry.
Must hae interpersonal and communication skills.
Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures.
Physical Demands:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching,
balancing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.
Frequent lifting in excess of 30 lbs is required.
Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.
Use of close ision, distance ision, color ision, peripheral ision, depth perception and ability
to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination.
Must be able to rotate shifts and be aailable to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
