The Finance team is looking for a qualified candidate to play a pivotal role in driving our accounting initiatives:
What you will do…
- Support accounting operations, including financial reporting
- Oversee the accounts payable function
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold effective internal controls over financial reporting and accounting procedures
- Maintain and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP for the Firm and its subsidiaries which includes the firm foundation
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, accruals, reserves, and account reconciliations
- Prepare business activity reports and other financial reports
- Contribute to the development and execution of the annual budgeting process
- Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support the administration of retirement plans and facilitates the annual audit process
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures
- Support the closing process
- Prepare and maintain the Cash Forecast
- Participate in or manage special projects to support evolving business needs
What you bring…
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related studies
- Required: 4+ years of experience - with a background in general accounting
- CPA Preferred or at least 1-2 sections of the exam already passed.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
- Background in cash reconciliation and daily reporting
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams
- Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced work environment
- Practice Engine/IRIS software experience is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
