Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Athens, GA

Type: 12 month contract

Compensation: $30-35/hour depending on qualifications

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Overview

This role supports facility operations by maintaining and repairing critical utility and manufacturing systems in a regulated environment. You will troubleshoot equipment issues, ensure system reliability, and apply strong mechanical and electrical skills to support continuous operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility and utility systems, including HVAC, boilers, and clean utilities
• Monitor and maintain system performance for equipment such as compressed air systems, chillers, cooling towers, and generators
• Support operation and upkeep of water systems including RO/DI and high-purity water (HPW) systems
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective actions to ensure reliability and uptime
• Follow established maintenance practices, safety standards, and environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements
• Document maintenance activities, system performance, and repairs in accordance with compliance standards

Requirements

• High school diploma with 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical
  
  OR
• Associate’s or technical degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
• Hands-on experience with utility systems such as boilers, steam systems, compressed air, chillers, and electrical systems
• Knowledge of clean utilities, HVAC systems, and water purification systems (RO/DI, HPW)
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems with intermediate problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with EHS standards and regulated environments
• Ability to work independently on a 2nd shift schedule
