Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.
Details
- Work on a 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (9CD) caring for mixed Med/Surg patients — travel nurses will be providing patient care, not teaching or educating
- Patient-to-nurse ratio of 5–6:1
- Day shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- Block scheduling is not approved for this unit
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large, high-volume hospital required
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity, fast-paced, and complex patient cases
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- No RTO (time off requests) will be approved during the contract
