LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia.

Job Description & Requirements

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• EPIC charting system experience is required.
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics

Certifications

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH (NIH Stroke Scale Certification)
• Flu Vaccine: Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

Clinical Skills & Work Setting

Experience required in a Telemetry unit managing patients with diagnoses including:

• CHF (Congestive Heart Failure)
• MI / Chest Pain (pre- and post-cath)
• Dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants)
• Hypotension / Hypertension
• Pleural Effusion
• Sepsis
• PE / DVT / Vascular Issues

Patient Ratio / Unit Details

• Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
• Unit Size: 16 rooms

Systems & Equipment

• Epic – Required
• Pyxis
• SBAR

Schedule & Work Requirements

• Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified otherwise
• Floating: Yes – within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Call Requirements: None

Time Off (RTO)

• Maximum RTO: 7 days
• RTO Blackout Dates: Spring Break (April 4th – April 12th)

Holiday Requirements

Travelers are expected to work holidays based on assignment timing:

• If 1 major holiday occurs during the assignment → traveler is expected to work it
• If 2 major holidays occur during the assignment → traveler is expected to work both
• If 3 major holidays occur during the assignment → traveler is expected to work 2 of them

Major Holidays Include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving / Black Friday
• Christmas Eve / Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day
