Managers at any level can have significant technical and business impact. As a senior manager you will own the vision and execution of software design and development for major components of Oracle's Health and AI platform. You should have technical depth, architectural know how, distributed systems generalist, strong people and process manager and able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. From a technology perspective, this is a greenfield development environment with a huge amount of autonomy, leaving us free to build and innovate without being encumbered by legacy products and services. We are building a highly scalable ingestion system that can consume, filter, and transport large volumes of events generated by our cloud services to our customers, and then give them the ability to act/react to these events at scale. The services we are building will form the core building blocks of OCI's Server-less story. **Responsibilities** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience 7+ years experience building and operating large scale, highly available, cloud based distributed systems 5+ years of manager experience and 10 years industry experience Strong knowledge of operating system fundamentals Strong understanding of data models and distributed persistence technologies Thorough understanding of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle Experience building and operating scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems Experience using Amazon Web Services such as EC2, EBS, Lambda, Dynamo and Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast- paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities Disclaimer: **Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.** **Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only** US: Hiring Range in USD from: $118,300 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
