Data Scientist III (f/t)

Job Description:

Develop solutions for automated document processing and customer service chat bots using cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms. Build the best-fit solutions leveraging large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions with a focus on privacy security and fairness. Design the AIs output with nodes and nested nodes in JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) array or Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) formats for as-is consumption and display on dashboards/portals. Build extensible Application Programming Interface (API) Integrations with short cycle times to extract information from sources integrate with LLM such as GPT 4o receive insights and make them available in intuitive User Interface (UI). Build solutions that align with responsible AI practices. Envision the solution outcomes to solve the business problem with actionable insights and design viable solutions to meet the outcomes. Understand how AI interprets the dataset and uses that understanding to build prompts that lead to expected outcomes. Develop and maintain AI pipelines including data preprocessing feature extraction model training and evaluation. Develop clear and concise documentation including technical specifications and code-ready templates to communicate complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Establish best practices and standards for generative AI development within the organization. Focus on speed to market and getting products and services into the hands of stakeholders. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with teams within the organization and the wider business. Apply creative and inventive problem-solving skills for reduced turnaround times. Other duties as assigned. Part-time telecommuting is permitted.

Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science Data Science and Analytics Engineering or a closely related field followed by five (5) years of data science experience. Experience must include:

• Four (4) years of experience in data science.
• Two (2) years of experience implementing enterprise systems in production setting for Machine Learning (ML) and natural language processing.
• Five (5) years of experience with data structures algorithms and software engineering principles.
• Two (2) years of experience designing scalable software systems for classification text extraction/summary and data connectors for different formats (PDF CSV doc etc.).
• One (1) year of experience with any deep learning techniques.
• Two (2) years of experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools such as Spacy and NLTK.
• Five (5) years of experience with Python.
• Four (4) years of experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow PyTorch or Keras.
• Three (3) years of experience with cloud-based platforms and services like AWS GCP or Azure.
• Four (4) years of experience with notebooks like Jupyter.
• Four (4) years of experience with data visualization tools and libraries like Matplotlib Seaborn or Plotly.
• Four (4) years of experience with Agile development concepts and related tools.

*Any combination of education that has been evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the equivalent of an U.S. degree will be accepted.
