Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Box Truck Driver to manage the transportation of landscaping equipment, bulk materials, and site supplies. This role is central to our field operations, requiring a driver who is not only skilled behind the wheel but also willing to assist with loading, unloading, and basic site support to keep our projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Transport: Operate a 16ft–26ft box truck across Metro Atlanta (Sandy Springs, Decatur, etc.) to deliver machinery, sod, mulch, and plant materials to job sites.

• Loading & Securing: Ensure all equipment (mowers, blowers, handheld tools) and materials are properly loaded, balanced, and secured using straps or tie-downs to prevent damage during transit.

• Logistics & Routing: Follow predetermined schedules and utilize GPS to plan the most efficient routes, ensuring timely arrivals for our field crews.

• Site Support: Assist crews with unloading materials and equipment upon arrival. On non-driving rotations, assist with yard organization or basic labor as needed.

• Vehicle Inspection: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, tires, lights) and report any maintenance needs to the Small Engine Mechanic.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure all paperwork for material pickups from vendors is organized and submitted.

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Valid Georgia Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR). Note: While many of our trucks are under 26,001 lbs (Non-CDL), a CDL Class B is a significant plus.

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience driving box trucks or similar large commercial vehicles. Familiarity with local Atlanta routes is preferred.

• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly and assist in the manual loading/unloading of landscape supplies.

• Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work an early morning schedule to meet the needs of our field operations.
