This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which serves the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Our cutting-edge technology includes Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems that improve the reliability and resiliency of broadband networks.

EnerSys has over thirty manufacturing and assembly plants worldwide servicing over 10,000 customers in more than 100 countries. Worldwide headquarters are located in Reading, PA , USA with regional headquarters in Europe and Asia. Job Purpose

The Account Executive is responsible for driving sustained revenue and margin growth for EnerSys’ broadband market. This role is tasked with reversing past performance shortfalls, restoring EnerSys as a trusted strategic partner, and achieving a minimum of 10% year-over-year revenue growth with gross profit of 20% or greater .

The role combines strategic account leadership, operational execution oversight, and customer relationship management , with accountability for results across operations, delivery, and financial performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Financial Targets
Deliver ≥10% year-over-year revenue growth for the accounts, starting FY26.
Achieve 20% gross profit margin on all projects.
Develop a multi-year growth roadmap to scale the account from $25M to prior peak levels ($80M).

Customer Relationship Management
Serve as dedicated Account Executive, the single point of accountability for customer satisfaction.
Build trust and executive-level relationships to drive repeat business and program expansion.
Anticipate customer needs and proactively position EnerSys solutions to meet evolving demands.

Operational Excellence
Lead corrective actions to address historical performance failures, including missed deadlines, quality concerns, and cost overruns.
Implement risk management and predictive modeling to prevent outages, delays, or overruns.
Partner with Field Services Teams, Engineering, and Estimating to ensure flawless delivery.

Vendor & Contract Management
Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and scalable frameworks.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and delivery quality.
Track and control change orders, ensuring >5% of contract value.

Strategic Leadership
Align account growth with EnerSys’ X-Matrix objectives, including margin expansion, safety, and customer experience.
Mentor and develop team members to build long-term bench strength.
Position the account as a model for scalable Nationwide expansion.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale broadband or telecom infrastructure programs.
  • Strong background in P&L management , vendor negotiation, and contract compliance.
  • Deep experience in field engineering, operations, and program recovery.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver double-digit YoY growth in complex customer environments.

Key Success Metrics

  • Revenue: ≥10% YoY growth.
  • Profitability: ≥20% GP margin.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Executive endorsements and repeat business.
  • Operational Metrics: On-time, on-budget delivery, with >% change orders.
  • Strategic Impact: Expansion of account from $25M to >$50M within 3 years.

  • This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company’s driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.
  • Must be able and willing to do overnight travel
