This 329-bed hospital in Northern Georgia provides comprehensive medical services with an established palliative care program requiring physician supervision. The facility operates with the Cerner EMR system and maintains modern medical equipment to support quality patient care. The hospital seeks coverage for a vacancy in their palliative care department with credentialing requiring 60-90 days and emergency privileges available for qualified candidates.

This area offers diverse attractions within a few hours drive, featuring natural destinations like Amicalola Falls State Park, Brasstown Bald Mountain, and Vogel State Park alongside entertainment venues such as Six Flags Over Georgia and the Georgia Aquarium. The physician will provide comprehensive inpatient palliative care consultations for adult patients and supervise a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner. The schedule includes Monday through Friday coverage from 8 AM to 5 PM with no call obligations or holiday requirements. Daily responsibilities involve evaluating 2-3 new palliative care consultations and conducting follow-up assessments on 2-3 existing patients. Documentation must be completed using the Cerner EMR system while maintaining Board Certification and Fellowship training in Palliative Care with recent experience within the past 12 months.
