Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Legal Billing Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the complete billing process, including the generation, editing, and submission of invoices.
2. Working closely with attorneys and clients to resolve any billing inquiries or discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. Performing account reconciliations, identifying any discrepancies, and taking corrective action as needed.
4. Utilizing Elite and Aderant software to manage and process client billing information.
5. Coordinating with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with established billing policies and procedures.
6. Reviewing and updating client billing guidelines and ensuring compliance across all invoices.
7. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and providing insights to management on billing trends and issues.
8. Participating in the development and implementation of new billing procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Legal Billing Specialist position, candidates must possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in legal billing or a similar role, preferably within a law firm or legal services environment.
3. Proficiency in using legal billing software such as Elite and Aderant.
4. Exceptional skills in invoice processing and account reconciliation.
5. Strong understanding of legal billing procedures and guidelines.
6. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and attorneys.
8. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
