Cashier
Greets customers, operates the Point of Sale (POS) system, processes cash/card payments, provides change, resolves issues, maintains a clean station, and assists staff with tasks like restocking or food prep, reporting to the manager to ensure smooth, friendly, and efficient meal service while following health guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet guests, answer questions, offer assistance, and provide a positive, friendly experience.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately use the POS system, handle cash, credit/debit cards, and issue receipts/change.
- Cash Handling: Reconcile cash drawer, and follow all cash security procedures.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a tidy cashier station, counter, and surrounding areas, adhering to sanitation rules.
- Support Duties: Assist with restocking supplies, setting up the cafeteria, and other tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic math & computer skills (POS system).
- Strong customer service & communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety/sanitation.
