Civil Project Manager
We are currently in search of a highly motivated and experienced Civil Project Manager to become a valuable addition to our team. The selected individual will be tasked with supervising all facets of civil engineering projects, from their initial inception to their ultimate culmination. This position necessitates possessing robust leadership capabilities, outstanding communication skills, and a meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all phases of civil engineering projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plans and specifications.
- Lead project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies to address project requirements and resolve any issues that arise.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve project objectives.
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and other project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project finances, including tracking expenses, invoicing – Pay Apps clients, and preparing financial reports.
- Utilize any project management software implemented within the company to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Civil Project Manager, with a minimum of 3 years in civil engineering project management.
2. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
3. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Experience working with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
7. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
8. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure.
Abilities:
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
- Ability to work in all weather.
- Ability to lift at least 70 pounds.
Safety
- Foster a culture of safety on project sites and ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures
- Attend safety meetings and inspections.
- Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
Teamwork
- Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.
- Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
- Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required.
