The Feed Mill Utility Lead is responsible for both Maintenance and Production leadership responsibilities associated with the Feed Mill.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned

Performs normal inspections/maintenance associated with Mill and feed delivery equipment along with maintaining building repairs.

Tests malfunctioning equipment associated with the Mill or feed delivery units and repairs and/or reports on its condition.

Assist management in training and motivating all Mill and delivery team members to achieve their maximum quality and productivity levels.

Assist management in scheduling staffing, materials and equipment for Mill production and delivery routes in a safe, efficient manner adhering to company and good manufacturing standards.

Assist management in ensuring Rolodex system is current and customer service needs are met.

Assist in the Safety and Quality Control programs by taking ownership in specific questions associated with like audits.

Be trained and capable of performing any hourly job duties associated with the Mill or delivery of feed and capable of filling in for team members on other shifts if necessary.

Repair/Replace equipment, maintaining the preventative maintenance program.

Trains others with the skills and knowledge gained from position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·Maintain a valid Class A CDL license

·CPR & First-aid trained

·Help maintain overtime to a minimum

·Able to work in high and/or confined space

·Weekend work may be required

·Ability to perform light maintenance, with a knowledge of machines, electronics, machine operations or other equivalent skills.
