Geotechnical Engineer

Apollo Technical is seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer in Roswell, GA

You’ll gain hands-on experience performing field and lab testing, preparing engineering drawings, and supporting project teams in a collaborative environment.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with subsurface explorations, soil sampling, and geotechnical field testing activities.

• Perform construction materials testing and analysis on soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.

• Prepare and modify engineering drawings, site plans, and technical documentation using AutoCAD.

• Collaborate with engineers to evaluate site conditions and assist in foundation recommendations.

• Support data collection, analysis, and preparation of geotechnical reports and project documentation.

• Participate in field inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and contractors.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field

• 0–2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing

• Proficiency in AutoCAD

• Familiarity with construction materials testing procedures and equipment

• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to work both in the field and office, with willingness to travel as needed

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred or in progress

Preferred

• Experience with geotechnical software or additional CAD tools

• Prior internship or co-op experience in geotechnical or construction materials engineering
