Emory University Biology Department Assistant Professor in Neuroscience
The BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF EMORY UNIVERSITY in Atlanta, GA () is a broadly based biology department within Emory’s College of Arts and Sciences. We seek candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of neuroscience. The successful candidate will use experimental approaches to examine any aspect of neural function, including molecular, cellular, systems, or developmental neuroscience, and will ideally integrate computational approaches into their research as well. We encourage outstanding candidates to apply, even if their most recent findings are still in the form of preprints, and we hope to recruit a colleague who will complement areas of existing research strengths in the department. Successful applicants will have a PhD, post-doctoral research experience, a record of productivity, and a commitment to evidence-based undergraduate teaching and mentoring. Competitive nine-month salary will be determined based on the quality of application materials and the current salary distribution within the biology department.

Finally, the metro Atlanta area provides opportunities for science outreach and education beyond the university.
The successful applicant will train and mentor PhD or MD/PhD students through the Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences () and/or the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program ( The applicant will also contribute to the department’s undergraduate teaching mission and create research opportunities for undergraduate students.
