Sr. Technical Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Sr. Technical Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional projects in the banking and payments domain . The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management best practices, deep financial services experience, and the ability to lead large-scale change efforts within matrixed environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex projects within the banking/payments sector

• Manage cross-functional teams in a matrix environment across various departments and geographies

• Drive project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities

• Engage and manage key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle

• Apply standard project management frameworks (PMI/PMP) to ensure consistency and successful outcomes

• Monitor project scope, schedule, costs, and risks, and develop mitigation strategies

• Provide clear and concise updates to executive leadership and stakeholders

• Maintain project documentation, status reports, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

• 10+ years of proven project management experience

• PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) Mandatory

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and full project lifecycle

• Deep experience in banking, financial services, or software development environments , especially in Payments

• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale change and transformation initiatives

• Expertise in managing stakeholders at all levels and influencing decisions across organizations

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, etc.)

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in highly regulated environments

• Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models

• Understanding of financial/payment processing systems
