A Finish Carpenter specializes in the precise and detailed work of installing and finishing wooden elements in residential and commercial buildings. This role involves crafting, fitting, and repairing woodwork such as moldings, cabinets, staircases, and trim to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of interior spaces.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install wood trim, moldings, and fixtures with precision
- Assemble and install cabinets, countertops, and built-in furniture
- Sand, stain, and finish wood surfaces to achieve desired appearance
- Inspect and repair existing woodwork to maintain structural integrity and appearance
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion
- Maintain worksite cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
