Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

TLC Healthforce
Atlanta, GA
Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg in Georgia, Atlanta, where your clinical expertise meets a vibrant cityscape and a mission to elevate patient care. This multi-week travel assignment is designed for RNs who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and who are driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in diverse patient populations. As you rotate through med-surg units, you’ll combine critical assessment, precise documentation, and collaborative patient advocacy to support recovery, prevent complications, and empower families with clear, compassionate communication. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to sharpen your clinical acumen, broaden your professional toolkit, and leave a lasting imprint on the communities you serve. From the moment you step into a modern, well-equipped unit, you’ll feel the energy of Atlanta and the sense that your work matters in tangible ways. You’ll have the chance to impact complex cases, participate in evidence-based care planning, and grow within a specialty that rewards curiosity, resilience, and teamwork. And if you’re drawn to the broader possibilities of travel nursing, this program also offers pathways to work in multiple locations across the United States, expanding your professional horizon while you deepen your skills in Med Surg.

Georgia’s allure goes beyond its medical opportunities. In Atlanta, you’ll experience a thriving arts scene, a culinary landscape that spans neighborhood gems to acclaimed dining destinations, and a calendar full of festivals, concerts, and professional events. The state’s natural beauty—from the rolling trails of Kennesaw Mountain to the peaceful shores of Lake Lanier—offers easy escapes after demanding shifts. This role invites you to enjoy Georgia’s hospitality while you elevate your practice, balancing demanding patient care with moments of rejuvenation in a city that proudly celebrates culture, sports, and community. Whether you’re savoring a sunset at Piedmont Park, exploring the historic districts, or rooting for your local teams, you’ll find Atlanta’s energy fueling your commitment to excellent patient outcomes. And with the possibility of placements in other locations across the U.S., you’ll gain adaptive experience that strengthens your resume and expands your professional network, all while supported by a team that values your preferences and career goals.

In this Med Surg RN role, you’ll be responsible for comprehensive patient care across medical-surgical units, including initial and ongoing patient assessments, monitoring of vital signs, plan-of-care development in collaboration with physicians and other clinicians, timely administration of medications, IV therapy, wound care, and post-operative monitoring. You’ll perform accurate documentation, coordinate discharge planning, and educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and self-care strategies. You’ll play a key role in infection control, safety protocols, and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that best practices guide every patient interaction. As you grow in this specialty, you’ll have opportunities for professional advancement—whether stepping into charge-nurse rotations, pursuing specialty certifications, or taking on mentorship roles for new hires. The package includes a competitive compensation structure designed to reflect your expertise, with a weekly pay range of $1,457–$1,572, and guaranteed hours of 36.0 per week, for a multi-week assignment that begins on 02/16/2026. You’ll also benefit from a welcome bonus, housing assistance, and extension opportunities that align with your career trajectory and personal needs. A dedicated support team is available 24/7 to assist you on the road, ensuring you have reliable resources, timely guidance, and a reassuring point of contact whenever you need it, day or night.

Our company is built on values that empower every nurse to thrive. We’re committed to fostering a supportive environment where professional development is a priority, not an afterthought. You’ll have access to continuing education opportunities, practical leadership exposure, and a culture that honors your expertise and autonomy. The organization champions open communication, collaborative decision-making, and a patient-centered approach that recognizes the dignity and resilience of every individual you care for. We believe in recognizing achievement, celebrating milestones, and providing a framework for career advancement that can lead to longer assignments, permanent placements, or leadership-track roles within Med Surg and related specialties. And because travel assignments can be demanding, we’ve invested in robust, compassionate support—from housing options that ease logistics to flexible scheduling that respects your work-life balance, all while maintaining rigorous clinical standards and patient safety.
