Student Affairs Specialist/Recruiter (Full-time)

Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a full time Student Affairs Specialist/Recruiter. This individual will be responsible for performing multiple aspects of Student Affairs functions and managing the processes related to those functions. This includes Admissions, Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs, Advisement, Retention, and others as needed. This position is full-time/non-exempt.

Please note the following information regarding this position:
  1. May be required to report to different locations
  2. May require reporting on or off campus throughout our service delivery area (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County)
  3. May require travel

Responsibilities:

  • Assists prospective students with the admission and readmission process
  • Provides information to prospective students about admissions document requirements, programs offered, financial aid, etc.
  • Performs all daily Student Affairs activities
  • Verifies Lawful Presence residency for applicants
  • Evaluate transcripts for transfer credit to Columbus Technical College
  • Provides information by telephone, written correspondence, and in person to interested parties regarding applicant procedures and admissions requirements
  • Plans and implements communication to prospective students regarding Enrollment and other Student Affairs related matters
  • Processes, completes, and maintains necessary documentation, transactions, records, etc. pertaining to enrollment
  • Serve as a VA School Certifying Official for Columbus Tech
  • Assists with the design and execution of recruitment events, projects and activities as requested
  • Responsible for providing administrative support to the registration, reporting and student records functions
  • Recruits prospective students within the Columbus Tech Service Delivery Area

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a related field *and* Three (3) years of work experience in a related field

Salary/Benefits

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include state holidays, annual leave, and sick leave, State of Georgia Retirement, Health and Flexible Benefits Program.
