The Role:

As a Project Engineer, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager to support all phases of building automation projects from design through execution. This role is hands-on, requiring both technical expertise and strong collaboration with engineers, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate control drawings as specified in contract documents.
• Create bills of materials based on developed control drawings.
• Prepare and compile submittals (control drawings, BOM, equipment cut sheets) for review and approval.
• Revise and resubmit documentation until final acceptance of system design.
• Maintain version control and ensure all team members are informed of drawing changes.
• Generate As-Built documentation at project completion.
• Assist Project Manager with:
  • Material acquisition
  • Job site meetings
  • RFIs and communication with stakeholders
  • On-site technical support for complex installations or sequences of operations
• Collaborate with the frontend development team on programming and graphical user interface design.
• Support commissioning by facilitating efficient information flow between field specialists and development staff.
• React to project changes and challenges quickly and effectively.
• Conduct research into project-related issues, products, and solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 3–5 years of field knowledge in HVAC and/or building automation
• Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics preferred
• Technical Skills:
  • AutoCAD 2D experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Professional Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Able to work independently or within a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and timelines
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
