Role Overview:
As an Audit Senior, you will play a critical leadership role in building and managing the Audit Division. You will lead complex audit engagements, manage high-level client relationships, guide audit staff, and contribute to strategic planning. In addition to your audit responsibilities, you must be highly proficient in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns and audits, ensuring compliance and optimization for our diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee audit engagements for government entities and nonprofit organizations.
• Develop audit plans and perform risk assessments in accordance with applicable regulations and standards (GASB, FASB, GAAS).
• Review audits prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all applicable standards.
• Review and finalize audit reports, providing detailed findings, insights, and compliance recommendations.
• Handle the preparation and review of complex tax returns (individual, entity, nonprofit).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients; build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships.
• Ensure engagements are delivered efficiently, on time, and within scope.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the firm, including service expansion and process improvements.
• Keep up to date with changes in audit standards, tax legislation, and industry trends.
• Represent the firm at professional events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in audit, with a strong focus on government and nonprofit clients.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing complex audits and tax returns (including multi-entity and nonprofit).
• Strong knowledge of GASB, FASB, and GAAP standards.
• Experience with fund accounting and nonprofit financial reporting.
• Proficiency in audit and tax software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or equivalent).
• High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proven leadership and team development experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client service skills.
