Job Summary
W e are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator to manufacture printing ink in a safe, efficient, and quality-driven environment. This role involves batch preparation, material handling, equipment operation, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced in a manufacturing or production setting.
Job Description
- Review batch tickets to understand production requirements and follow instructions accurately.
- Gather, weigh, and measure raw materials using scales and combine ingredients in the correct sequence.
- Perform preliminary quality checks and submit samples to the laboratory for testing.
- Package finished products into designated containers and ensure proper labeling.
- Maintain ingredient traceability throughout the production process.
- Operate forklifts to transport materials and finished goods safely.
- Perform equipment cleaning, plant cleaning, and proper waste disposal.
- Operate tub washing equipment as required.
- Manage stock rotation to minimize partial containers and ensure efficient inventory usage.
- Utilize SAP for inventory look-ups, CORK duties, and cycle counting.
- Report near-miss incidents and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Participate actively in safety programs, training sessions, and plant initiatives.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Skills Required
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and batch production processes accurately.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment such as forklifts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Awareness of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
Education
- Highschool diploma / GED
Additional Requirements
- Shift Detai ls: 9:A0 PM - 5:30 PM
- Required to have Steel toe Shoes
- Other PPE will be issued (Uniforms/Safety Glasses)
Pay Rate
- $20 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
